Banner day! No cheats, no cravings and stood strong on no food or alcohol at an 80’s party I went to! There is no question though, some parties are just more fun with a drink in hand. Judge all you want but I have no problems with cocktails and drinks – life is about everything in moderation, right?! And sometimes a little less so. I definitely had more than a few people telling me I ought to throw the towel in for just one night but I’m going to finish what I started. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy!
I’m pretty sure my afternoon superfood shake is the glue that’s holding me all together at this point. If I were having just the bowl of fruit, the salad at lunch and more veggies for dinner, I may have been tempted to throw the towel in. The shakes makes me feel like I’m cheating but I’m not.
Breakfast: Fresh Fruit (I’m totally digging starting the day like this but I’ll be excited for yogurt and oatmeal to make a comeback next week).
Lunch: Microgreen Salad – this was not what was on the menu but by Friday this gal is pretty tired of kitchen time! I can whip this up fast and pretty much with my eyes closed at this point.
Optional Snack: Chocolate Vegan Shakeology while I took my kids for after school ice cream.
Dinner: Roasted Delicata Squash and Lemony Green Beans.
